Every powered on item (hosts, clusters and VMs) has either a red or orange warning. I saw on Reddit that this was due to the ImageBuilder service not running. I looked and it was not running. Even after starting the service, the warnings remain.
ESXiは6.5.0(Updateなし)でしょうか。
Compatibility Guideを確認した限りでは、以下の条件を満たすのはESXi 6.5 Update 1からみたいです。
- モデル:Express5800/R120h-1M
- CPU :Intel(R) Xeon(R) Silver 4110 CPU
以下、ご参考
ご連絡ありがとうございます。
情報抜けており申し訳ないです。
ESXi 6.5.0 Update 2となり、Compatibility Guideの条件は満たしているように見えております。
※ ビルド番号:VMware ESXi, 6.5.0, 8294253
Hi, woolie161:
Thanks your support, most likely this issue is caused by some locks, would you mind try to collect the crash dump for us to continue?
After you reproduce this issue, during the UI and VMX hang, open task manager, go to "details" tab, find the vmware-vmx and vmware process, right click the process name (vmware-vmx and vmware), select "create dump file". The generated dump file locate %temp%\vmware.dmp and %temp%\vmware-vmx.dmp.
Please upload them to us for next step.
Thanks.

With all due respect, your answer is (a) not correct; and (b) not helpful.
Nowhere is it mentioned that deploying vCD through ESXi is not supported. When you apply some logic to it, why would it not be supported? What would the resultant VM run on? Why the ESXi host itself! Whether I deploy through ESXi or vCenter, it should not make a difference.
Anyway, I finally got around to resolving this myself. So for those who may be stuck deploying any OVA/OVF directly to an ESXi host, this official VMware ovftool document says:
"If you are deploying with the ovftool command targeting an ESXi host, you must “inject” the parameters into the resulting VM when it is powered on. This is because the ESXi host lacks a cache to store the OVF parameters, as with vCenter Server. Therefore, you must use the --X:injectOvfEnv debug option with the --poweron flag in the command line"
The direct link is here: Online Documentation - OVF Tool User's Guide (U2) - VMware {code}
So once I added the two additional parameters, everything worked a treat.
Give more details about storage and the cluster configuration, especially HA ...
Thanks JN for your help!
Try both of login pattern: Domain\user .... user@Domain
Also, check the DNS settings of your ESXi host again. If it's possible try to connect to the domain with another DC exists on your network ...
You added your account to the administrator role?
If your Host joined the AD you have to create a "ESX Admins" User Group and your AD account needs to become a member of that Group. Thats it.

Joerg
To be clear, the hostname on the actual management appliance does not need to be the same as the public FQDN. In our environment we use our internal naming scheme to assign hostnames to the appliances and everything works fine from the Internet.
The trickiest thing I've found with vCAv is DNS resolution (depending if you're using split DNS) and the firewall rules depending if you deploy the components in the VMware recommended zones (trusted for all components except for the Tunnel which lives in the DMZ).
To the OP - are you still experiencing issues with your deployment?
Both SKUs HCI-RBADV-25VM-C and HCI-RBSTD-25VM-C are in the price list. They are not EOS.

Or you could just follow the VMware PowerCLI Blog.
You can subscribe in an RSS reader to the feed.
Did you already stop/start your PowerShell/PowerCLI session?
Hi dyvnakd,

Hello
thank you for your message.
We were working a lot on this and we lost our data. We restored the Backup from the day before. We lost one day..we will survive.
At this point only one Server was Connected to the Enclosure. We talked to VMWare and HPE and both telling us that shoudnt happen and they dont know why that happend.
We just did a little Update on that ESXI because of a Softwarebug form VMWare. Sadly that caused the failure. We were working just to get our data somehow out of the enclosure. Sadly it was not successfull. We reenabled the logical Raid and it was empty. No data in there. HPE told me that the SAS-Card had a failure and thats why that happend. But i dont belive that. I have a Raidcontroller which first priority is to keep the Raid together. Ok the SAS-Card went down, but that is just input / output. In my opinion two complete different things.
ESXi5.5 can use. This is the IPFC driver on ESXi5.5 . 自带的
