As long as you don't loose yor VDR-Data Disk, you can download a new VDR-appliance and deploy this to your new infrastructure. Than you can add your existing VDR-Data disk to the new appliance and after the boot you can mount this Data-Disk. VDR will than recognize the existing backups and you can start to restore. If your backups are on a CIFS share, than you can mount this share and you will also see the old backups.
